Lack of Credentials

I have found that the key to a good diet lies in a balanced approach and by tricking yourself by calling it meal planning. The pitfall I encounter while dieting, is allowing myself to get hungry by not eating often enough. Starving myself usually does not work and I usually find myself buying eight piece chicken meals (I prefer Popeye's or Randalls). The following is the diet I try to follow six days a week, with the seventh being my cheat day, but please I am not a nutritionist or physician, nor am I Dr. Phil or Dr. Ianni, so proceed with caution:

Meal 1: 6 egg whites and 1/2 cup of oatmeal

Meal 2: protein powder and piece of fruit

Meal 3: same as 2 or can of tuna & fruit

Meal 4: same as 2 (usually burrito bowl)

Meal 5: piece of lean meat/fish and vegetables

Meal 6: same as 2

As someone who sees what Paul eats most meals, I can tell you he does a VERY, VERY BAD job following his diet. Have you ever seen someone consume an 8-piece fried chicken meal and large order of potato wedges twice in 24-hrs? I have - on multiple occassions.

Diet looks ok, especially for leaning down. I'd up the protein though to at least 1.5 grams times your body weight to get the total number of protein grams for you. You want to lose your fat and not your muscle, because you will need that in the ring - so up the protein and make sure your muscles are being fed!
